Senchal Lake

Happy Valley Tea Estate

Kalimpong is a neighbouring hill station located along the Teesta River. It is exquisite for its wide range of flora, especially orchids, flower bulbs, tubers and rhizomes. Teesta River

The most brilliant view of the Teesta River, forming a border between the states of Sikkim and West Bengal, and appearing as a slithering snake just before it joins Brahmaputra as a tributary, can be enjoyed from Darjeeling hills. A small village lying at an altitude of 6000 ft. in Darjeeling, Lolegaon gives a panoramic view of the Kanchenjunga range. It also offers breathtakingly beautiful views of the sunset which augment your honeymoon experience.


With its exquisite beauty and climate, Mirik is a complete treat to your eyes. The central attraction is the Sumendu Lake, on one side of which lies an exotic garden and on another, arrays of pine trees – both of which are connected by an arching footbridge called the Rainbow Bridge. A very dream-like scene, this is a favourite with honeymooners because of the quiet atmosphere. Both of you can also enjoy boating and horse-riding here.

Ghoom monastery

There is fun in exploring the beauty of an unacquainted land in the company of your partner. So go ahead and explore the Ghoom Monastery. It is emblematic of Tibetan Buddhist culture. A 15 feet high statue of Buddha lies in the vicinity along with the traditional sacred bells and various religious texts.

Rock Garden

This is a man-made picnic site built around a natural waterfall. The flower gardens and mowed lawns, along with small shops selling tea and snacks, collectively make it a lovely picnic spot for young couples.

The city is located near the Indo-Nepalese border, which has many trekking routes. The Singhalia Ridge Trail is the most preferred one.
