Honeymoon in Tarkali Beach
Although there are an almost infinite number of sensational locales to pick from for your honeymoon, Tarkali Beach is one offbeat destination that you'll never regret selecting. Tarkali Beach has long been a well admired tourist getaway and continues to attract wanderlust sightseers from around the world.
The beach retreat is also a very sought-after honeymooning destination because of its atavistic beauty. The beach is a hit with newlyweds as it sees very less footfalls for the better part of the year. You'll simply enjoy taking long walks along the sun-kissed beach with your beloved. You might also catch an unusual glimpse of the seabed (that becomes clearly visible up to a depth of 20ft on sunny days) if you're in luck. Dolphins are regularly sighted as well. There is also a village by the same name which is renowned for holding the Ramnavami festival. You'll be mesmerized by the picturesque splendour of the surroundings that seems to come alive as dolphins' splash about in the crystal clear waters and sailboats float luxuriantly.
Tarkali Beach is just about 8kms away from Malvan taluka (zone) in Sindhudurg District in Maharashtra. The beach actually lies at the meeting point of Arabian Sea and the Karli River. The Sindhudurg Fort which was constructed by Chatrapati Shivaji is distinctly visible from the beach.
