Thereafter you can walk the rest of the distance (about 1 km) leading to the falls. If you want to keep aside a couple of days for visiting the sightseeing attractions in the vicinity of the falls, then you can put up at the guesthouse of the KTDC (Karnataka Tourism Development Corporation) that is situated very close to the Dudhsagar Falls. However, you can also look up the different ranges of star-category hotels and resorts in Madgaon or Panaji. Almost all world famous hospitality chains have a hotel or resort within a 100 km radius of the waterfalls. One resort that deserves special mention is the Alcove Resort.
Activities for Honeymooners
Hiking or trekking is the most popular tourist activity around here. The best time for trekking is from October to April when the four hiking routes leading to the Dudhsagar Falls remain traversable. The Castle Rock Route and the Kulem Route are the two main trekking routes. If you want to have a rush of adrenalin then take the route that goes via the Kuveshi village taking you to the Dudhsagar railway station.
Panaji, the capital of Goa is one of the most picturesque state capitals and is situated at a distance of 60 kms from Dudhsagar Falls. If you want to feel creepy during your honeymoon then visit the forest in Mollem. Surely visit the Bhagwan Mahaveer Sanctuary and Mollem National Park that is home to a rich diversity of flora and fauna. Also do not miss visiting the Morjim resort that offers an escape from the crowded beaches of Calangute, Candolim, and Varca in Goa.

If you want to witness the Dudhsagar in its full fury, then plan your tour between August and November. The perfect time to visit would be during the monsoon season (between June and September).
